To stop the war, these pawns will have to fight!

“Pawns” is a ten-minute animated short film, currently nearing completion.

The setting is a WWI-style battlefield. A light pawn returns from a daring scouting mission with important news: the enemy has no intention of attacking.

This is met with equally troubling orders from a Castle: a rookie pawn will lead the day’s attack.

As the Bishops plan the campaign from the safety of their bunker, word arrives that the rookie pawn refuses to start another violent battle.

Pawns is a humorous parable with a relevant anti-war message. The rough cut is currently being submitted to festivals as we complete the sound design and score.
